Åkerøy Camping er plassert ved Åkerøyvalen, nord på Dønna. Her kan du finne oppstillingsplasser med strøm for både bobiler og campingvogner. I tillegg tilbys fasiliteter som toalett, dusj og kjøkken i servicebygget. Campingen har også WiFi-tilgang og vaskemaskin tilgjengelig.
Like ved ligger Dønna Rorbuer Bøteriet, som har en restaurant og tilbyr båtutleie for de som ønsker å utforske området fra sjøen.
Det er også ca 1,5km til dagligvarehandel.

Camping with simple standards, but very nice hosts. Great location on Dønna, nice lawn to stand on. The finery right next door, which serves food. A short way to the smallest but finest chocolate factory – Heidi’s Chocolate Dream. Dønna is well suited for trips on foot and by bike.

Nice place, got to charge the car. Clean and tidy toilet, shower and small kitchen. Be sure to go down to Bøteriet for a cold drink, dock snacks, Boknafisk or coffee and ice cream.
Nice camping place surrounded by a lot of cultural and heritage gems. Viking burial mounds, scenic views, coastal fishing villages and beautiful landscape farmlands, and an incredible church tracing back to the 1200s with an available tour (you have to check the times for tour guide) are all around! The facilities are clean and the bathrooms/shower are spacious. There is also a Coop grocery store nearby with a second floor dedicated to camping tools and equipment. And right outside there is a small gas pump station. The camping area is peaceful with a nice view of Dønnmannen (the giant sleeping troll). 😊 Also free showers is a plus! The owner is nice and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay here and look forward to a future visit to this island (as there is a lot to do and see if you’re into history and getting to experience it) and we will definitely be coming back to Åkerøya camping.
